Hi, I’m Steven — or Stevie as my friend calls me. I’m a marketer / consultant with more than 20 years of hard earned experience. Besides my wife and dogs, marketing and business strategy is what I live and breathe.

Jumping in, feet first

This is the beginning of a series of articles, designed to help small and medium sized businesses embrace modern technology and software to survive in an “upside-down, pandemic driven” world of business in 2021.

Through these articles, I will introduce and recommend various services, software and tools, that I have personally used with my clients to reduce monthly cost, drive up ROI and better manage tasks and team members. I want to take what I have learned, and the experiences that I have made, and package them in an easy and actionable format for entrepreneurs and decision makers around the world. It’s a different world today, than it was just a year ago, and everyone has to adapt or face ever increasing difficulties to stay relevant, or even be part, of a changing business landscape.

Saying ‘Yes’ to new tools; it’s the only way

Adopting new technology and subscribing to the newly released productivity tools, is the one key thing any business owner, manager or decision maker, has to do in 2021 to survive or profit, with a growing globalized economy.

Remote work
The pandemic has changed the way people work, and from where. What was earlier thought utopia, is now everyday reality with home-offices becoming the norm. Not being face-to-face, creates a set of challenges in regards to interaction collaboration and task management. Luckily, there’s today software that tackles the logistics and infrastructure, streamlining and bringing closer together, a work force miles apart. Subscribing to key software solutions facilitating the work from home new-normal, is an absolute must for any business manager in 2021.

Workflow
One of the best things any company can do to improve the bottom line, is to look at routines and the way work is being done, and how team members collaborate on a task. With new and modern software solutions, advanced tools helps you stay organized and helps your team accomplish work faster, more efficient and with less overall stress. More work in a shorter time means improved profits, and less stress means less sick days and workplace friction. Stay tuned for an article on workflow solutions real soon.

Sales and customer management
Forget excel sheets and your phone calendar. It’s 2021, and if you do not subscribe to a fully-fledged CRM solution, you are missing out and being left behind your competition. With a modern CRM solution, you are able to keep track of new leads, follow ups, schedule calls and get a top-down oversight of your customer lifecycle. Heck, you can even connect the social media profiles of your customers, and set up so they get an automated email on their birthday! In an upcoming article, I will dive into the various CRM solutions currently on the market, and which one I would personally recommend.

Digital marketing
Website, newsletters, social media, content creation, SEO, CPC — attracting new customers or leads online — and nurturing existing ones — is no easy business, it involves a lot of moving parts. It is one of those things that are either done right, or it’s done wrong. If you are here, reading this, chances are that you are not doing it right. But that is ok, because there are a lot of tools out there, that can help you to create amazing marketing campaigns with a high ROI. Keep an eye out for an upcoming article on this exact topic.

And much, much more

As we all know, running a business, especially in times like these, can be challenging. In the time ahead, I will on a regular basis publish articles on topics that will help you to manage, adapt and even come out stronger on the other side. To your success in 2021!
